Automation of custom defined test scenarios and automated testing of terminals
Test automation has various uses, which include the execution of software tests, comparison of actual outcomes to predicted outcomes, setting up of test preconditions, and other test control and test reporting functions. Commonly, test automation involves automating a manual process which is already in place and uses a formalized testing process. This does not replace manual testing, but co exists with it. Depending on how complex the automation is, an entire test scenario can be automated, or only certain parts are to be automated which require less manual intervention. Automation eliminates many mistakes and/or overlooked test failures, which are common human errors during the repetitive manual testing procedures.
