All testing is independent of the physical layer; regardless of whether an MMS is transmitted using a UMTS data channel, a single-slot GPRS channel, a multi-slot EDGE channel, or any other coding scheme, there is simply no impact on the test result and the pass/fail criteria.

Multi-AE Testing

The S-CAT 6020 can be expanded to test a maximum of three applications simultaneously. Using the Multi-AE feature, it is possible to test, for example, the behavior of a mobile terminal, receiving a multi-media message during an active DM session.
